KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches (USC) announced its Week 3 Top 25 poll, and Rogers State Men's Soccer (4-0-2) moved up three spots to No. 11. They were ranked tied for 11
th two weeks ago.
The Hillcats concluded non-conference play undefeated last week, securing a 1-0 win over UT Tyler before tying 1-1 with No. 17 St. Mary's, which is ranked 25th in this week's poll.
Louis Bassett earned his first career GAC/MIAA Offensive Player of the Week honor after assisting on the game-winner against UT Tyler and scoring his first goal of the season against St. Mary's.
Jaxon Kendall was named GAC/MIAA Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time this season, recording a clean sheet against the Patriots and a no-decision against the Rattlers.
RSU will kick off their conference matches this week on the road. They will first take on the Harding Bison (2-3-1) in Searcy, Arkansas, on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Stevens Soccer Complex. Later in the week, Rogers State will face the Ouachita Baptist Tigers (1-2-2) in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, with the match scheduled for Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Kluck Field.
