INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA has released its third Division II Women's Golf Central Region Rankings, with the Hillcat women's golf team ranked No. 2. The Hillcats moved down a spot from last week's rankings after finishing tied for fourth at the Spring Regional Preview.
Joining the Hillcats from the MIAA are Arkansas-Fort Smith (No. 4), Central Oklahoma (No. 5), Washburn (No. 6), Central Missouri (No. 7), Nebraska-Kearney (No. 10), Northwest Missouri State (No. 12), Missouri Western (No. 13), and Missouri Southern (No. 16). The MIAA Championships are set for April 20-22 at Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Following the MIAA Championships, the NCAA Central Regional will take place May 4-6 at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri. Four regional tournaments, each comprising 54 holes, will determine the participants for the NCAA Women's Golf Championships. Eighteen teams from the East, Central, South, and West regions will compete, along with six individuals not affiliated with those teams.
The NCAA Championships are set for May 12-16 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
