NCAA TOURNAMENT HISTORY
This marks the RSU's sixth-straight and seventh overall trip to the NCAA Regional.
In 2016-17, as a member of the Heartland Conference, the Hillcats finished fourth at the conference tournament, securing their spot in the NCAA Division II West Super Regional in Wichita Falls, Texas. The following year,
Jess Whitting (2016-18) represented RSU at the NCAA Super Regional in Durango, Colorado, where she earned a 12th-place individual finish.
The Hillcats have had a strong presence in the MIAA since joining, making every regional championship appearance except for the 2019-20 season, which was curtailed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Their best regional performance came in the 2020-21 season when they finished second at the St. Joseph Country Club.
Jessica Green, who played from 2017 to 2022, secured an individual title that helped the team qualify for the NCAA Tournament.
In the 2023-24 season, the Hillcats finished third, marking their second-best finish in program history, bolstered by an individual title from
Lydia Sitorus (2021-25).
Last year, RSU placed fifth at the Central Regional Tournament in Edmond, with Sitorus qualifying for the NCAA Championship as an individual competitor by tying for fourth place.
MIAA TOURNAMENT RECAP
The Hillcats secured a third-place finish at the 2026 MIAA Championship held at Mule National Golf Club in Warrensburg, Missouri. Andres led the team with a tie for third place, while Anderson also performed well, tying for ninth.
During the MIAA Championship, the conference announced its postseason awards. First-year head coach
Lexi Johnson was named the 2025-2026 MIAA Women's Golf Co-Coach of the Year. Johnson joins former RSU head coach
Whitney Hocutt as only the second coach in program history to receive MIAA Coach of the Year honors. Hocutt was recognized as the 2021-2022 MIAA Coach of the Year and as Co-Coach of the Year in 2020-2021.
Fourdan was honored as the MIAA Freshman of the Year and earned a spot on the All-First Team. A native of Carnac, France, Fourdan is the first RSU athlete to receive the MIAA Freshman of the Year award since Sitorus won it in 2022.
Maddux added to her impressive career at Rogers State, earning a second-team All-MIAA selection this year after being named to the third team in 2024-2025. She also made history by becoming the first female student-athlete from RSU to receive the "A Game" Scholar-Athlete honor, achieving a 4.00 GPA.
Anderson and Andres, both All-MIAA Third Team selections last season, were recognized as two-time All-MIAA recipients with honorable mention this year.
