Softball Tabbed Seventh in Third NCAA D-II Central Region Rankings

The NCAA Selection Show is scheduled for Monday at 9 a.m. CT

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Hillcat Softball (34-18) is ranked seventh in the latest NCAA Division II Central Region Rankings, released Wednesday afternoon. Rogers State finished the regular season with a 30-16 record against in-region opponents.
 
Rogers State is one of five MIAA teams featured in the rankings. No. 7 Missouri Southern holds the top spot, followed by No. 14 Pittsburg State (second), No. 12 Central Oklahoma (third) and Emporia State (10th).
 
No. 10 Southern Arkansas (fourth), Oklahoma Baptist (eighth) and Arkansas Tech (ninth) represent the GAC, while No. 20 Winona State (fifth) and No. 25 St. Cloud State (sixth) come from the NSIC.
 
The NCAA Division II Softball Selection Show is scheduled for Monday, May 11, at 9 a.m. CT. It will be aired live on DII College Softball - Home | NCAA.com/.
 
The NCAA Central Region Championships are scheduled for May 14-16, with the NCAA Division II Super Region Championships taking place the following week on May 22-23.
 
The top eight teams from the NCAA Super Regionals will advance to the 2026 NCAA National Championships in Chattanooga, Tennessee, set for May 29-30.
 
No. 6 seed Rogers State Softball starts postseason play tomorrow in the MIAA Tournament against No. 3 seed Pittsburg State at 4 p.m. in Emporia, Kansas. The winner will face either No. 2 seed Central Oklahoma or the winner of the No. 7 seed Northeastern State vs. No. 10 seed Northwest Missouri game in the semifinals on Friday at 2:30 p.m. The championship game is on Saturday at noon.
