GREAT FALLS, Mont. - Former RSU baseball right-handed pitcher
Zach Horwith has signed his first professional contract with the Pioneer League Great Falls Voyagers. Horwith concluded his collegiate career this past spring with the Hillcats.

The Castle Rock, Colorado, native is set to join the active roster before the upcoming series against the Glacier Range Riders this week, with a projected start in Tuesday's series opener that is slated for a 7:30 p.m. CT first pitch at Centene Stadium.
The Great Falls Voyagers, an independent baseball team in the Pioneer League, partners with Major League Baseball. Before becoming independent in 2021, the team was affiliated with the Chicago White Sox (2003-2020), the Los Angeles Dodgers (1984-2002) and the San Francisco Giants (1969-1983), where they claimed 10 league and 13 divisional titles.

Horwith (5-3) earned All-MIAA Third Team honors as a starting pitcher this past season. In his lone season on the Hill, the RSU ace made 14 starts, totaling 44 strikeouts in 76.2 innings with an earned run average of 4.34 and a WHIP of 1.38. Notably, he became the second player in program history to throw a no-hitter during a victory against Emporia State. His outstanding performance also earned him NCBWA Central Region Pitcher of the Week honors, in addition to MIAA Pitcher of the Week honors.
