About: Buckner came to the Hill from Coweta High School as a two-time Oklahoma state team cross country champion. She competed on the Tigers' cross country and track and field teams for four years winning state titles in her first two seasons. She earned the Coweta Tiger Award during both her junior and senior campaigns. In the spring of 2013, as a junior, Buckner won the conference and regional championships in the 800 meters while placing sixth at the state meet. She also claimed a state championship in the 4x800 relay during her sophomore season. The daughter of Bill and Mary Buckner, she said she chose RSU because "RSU is my home away from home. I love the environment."
