Biography

About: Fairres comes to RSU and will take a redshirt in her first cross country season on the Hill, but will make her debut on the track. The Henryetta, Oklahoma native makes the transition to the collegiate level as a two-time, all-state track and field honoree from Henryetta High School. She reached the state meet all four years as a prep athlete for Head Coaches Tim Gillispie (cross country) and Brent Wion (track and field). She was named to the Cross Country All-Star Senior Team in 2014 after placing in the top 20 at the state cross country meet as a junior the previous year. Fairres and her 4x400 relay team finished second at the state track meet setting the meet record in the two-mile relay. As a freshman for the Knights, she placed third in the two-mile relay at the state meet. The daughter of Johnny and Tammie Fairres, she said she chose RSU because "I loved the atmosphere and the comradery that surrounds the campus."
