Hagen Barmasse was named Heartland Conference Men's Golf Player of the Week Wednesday after his top-five finish at the Midwestern State Invitational.
Barmasse carded a career-low, 3-under-par 68 in the final round Tuesday becoming just the 10th player in program history to shoot that far under par.
The Houston, Texas native posted his first top 10 of the season finishing fourth overall in the 84-golfer field tallying 37 pars over the 54-hole event ranking sixth of all competitors while averaging 4.56 on par five's.
The junior led the Hillcats to fourth place as a team behind the best team round of round three at 282, their lowest round of the season and third-best in school history.
The Heartland Conference weekly award is the second for Barmasse in his career and the second for the team during the fall season after
Henning Hogmoen received the honor three weeks ago.
