Williams Joins Men’s Golf 2019-20 Class

CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Rogers State Men's Golf program and head coach Steve Brown have announced the addition of John Williams to the 2019-20 class.

Williams grew up in the shadows of Rogers State, as the incoming freshman is from Claremore and attended Claremore High School.

John is a three-time qualifier for the Oklahoma State Golf Championship, including each of the last two seasons when he helped lead the Zebras to team qualification.

As a freshman, Williams qualified for the 2016 5A State Tournament as an individual. He finished 31st overall at the state tournament in 2019.

In the classroom, Williams earned Principal's Honor Roll as a sophomore, junior and senior. He was also a member of the FCA at Claremore High. At Rogers State, John will major in Business with a minor in Entrepreneurship.

He is the son of John and Jodi, who both attended Rogers State. He has two brothers; Ben and Jack.

Williams is the fourth signing for the Men's Golf program heading into the 2019-20 season.
