CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Rogers State Men's Golf program and head coach
Steve Brown have announced the addition of John Williams to the 2019-20 class.
Williams grew up in the shadows of Rogers State, as the incoming freshman is from Claremore and attended Claremore High School.
John is a three-time qualifier for the Oklahoma State Golf Championship, including each of the last two seasons when he helped lead the Zebras to team qualification.
As a freshman, Williams qualified for the 2016 5A State Tournament as an individual. He finished 31
st overall at the state tournament in 2019.
In the classroom, Williams earned Principal's Honor Roll as a sophomore, junior and senior. He was also a member of the FCA at Claremore High. At Rogers State, John will major in Business with a minor in Entrepreneurship.
He is the son of John and Jodi, who both attended Rogers State. He has two brothers; Ben and Jack.
Williams is the fourth signing for the Men's Golf program heading into the 2019-20 season.
