EDMOND, Okla. – Rogers State men's golf jumped six spots on the leaderboard after a big day at the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Region Championship.

After 36 holes at the par 70, 6,944 yard KickingBird Golf Club, the Hillcats climbed to 11th place after shooting an incredible 276 (-4) on the day with a total card of 569 (+9).

Elliot-Han Monteremal turned in an outstanding performance as he shot a 65 (-5) and moved in to a five-way tie for 12th with a total card of 138 (-2). He missed the single round school record by one shot, set earlier this season by
Thomas Barnes Grimes (64, -7).

Daniel Robles Delval sits in a large group of 10 tied at 39th with a 142 (+2) and a 70 (Even) today. Barnes Grimes is in a large group of 12 tied at 52nd with a 144 (+4) and a 69 (-1) today.
Tyler Collier is  right behind in a group of six tied at 64th with a 145 (+5) and a 72 (+2) today.
Ty Nicar rounds out the squad in a three-way tie for 94th with a 150 (+10) and a 72 (+2) today.

The Hillcats will look to continue to climb in the top five during the final round tomorrow. The top five teams and the top two individuals on non-advancing teams punch their tickets to the NCAA National Championships at the Orange County National Golf Center in Winter Garden, Fla. on May 21-25. The first tee time tomorrow is set for 10 a.m.
