MONKEY ISLAND, Okla. – The Rogers State men's golf team finished 18th at the MSSU Fall Invitational on Tuesday, posting a score of 931 (+67). The Hillcats shot their best round of the tournament with 301 (+13) in the final round at Shangri La Resort.
Central Oklahoma claimed the team title with a score of 854 (-10), after shooting 283 (-5) in the third round. Washburn finished as the runner-up (+23), followed by Missouri Western (+27), Pittsburg State (+28) and Central Missouri (+31), rounding out the top five.
Kobsak Phisitbuntoon led the Hillcats with a 60th-place finish, carding a score of 232 (+16). The freshman impressed on the final day, finishing one stroke over par with a score of 72, including birdies on holes two, six and 16.
Junior
Dylan Ros finished +3 in the round, bringing his three-round total to +17, which placed him tied for 66th. Sophomore
Callum Brown tied for 72nd at +19, senior
Maddox Bullen tied for 83rd at +21 and senior
Aiden Deng rounded out the team, finishing tied for 90th at +24.
Rogers State men's golf will be right back in action next week, as they will host the Tulsa Cup on October 27-28 at Indian Springs CC in Broken Arrow.
