NEWTON, Kan. – The RSU men's golf team finished in fifth place with a score of 905 (+41) at the Newman Fall Invitational held at Sand Creek Station golf course on Tuesday.
Minnesota Crookston won the tournament with a score of 864, finishing even par. Newman's 'A Team' placed second at 869 (+5), followed by Fort Hays State (+18) and Northwest Oklahoma State (+32).
Junior
Dylan Ros led the team with a three-round total of 222 (+6), finishing tied for 15th. He concluded the tournament with a strong final round of 72, jumping six spots from the previous day.
Senior
Aiden Deng finished with a score of 224 (+8) to finish tied for 20
th. Sophomore
Bo Gentry, competing individually, recorded a consistent score of 225 (+9) – finishing all three rounds with a score of 75 to place tied for 22
nd.
Freshman
Kobsak Phisitbuntoon finished 27
th with a score of 229 (+13), while sophomore
Callum Brown tied for 28
th at 230 (+14). Senior
Tyler Collier and freshman
Ben Field II (individual) finished tied for 43
rd with a score of 244 (+28).
RSU will return to action Oct. 20-21 in Monkey Island, Oklahoma, at the Shangri-La Resort for the MSSU Fall Invitational.
