KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Rogers State Men's Soccer (4-1-1) checked in at No. 12 in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Week 3 poll on Tuesday.
RSU dropped three spots in the rankings after a 1-1 week but remains the top team in the GAC/MIAA. The week began with a commanding 2-0 victory over Oklahoma Christian, featuring goals from
Jamie Kennedy and
Mario Lopez Ayuso. However, the Hillcats faced their first setback of the season in a 2-1 loss to St. Mary's during the non-conference finale at Soldier Field.
California State-Los Angeles currently holds the top spot in the national rankings, followed by North Georgia, Colorado-Colorado Springs, Southern New Hampshire and Saginaw Valley State.
Fort Hays State is the only other conference team ranked, sitting at No. 22. The Hillcats will take on the Tigers this Thursday at 7 p.m. in Hays, Kansas, to kick off league play.
