About: Rodriguez returns to the Hill after making 45 starts in the 2015 campaign, his first season at RSU. The Moore, Oklahoma native finished third on the team with a .342 batting average adding 11 doubles, one triple, and two home runs. Rodriguez closed his junior season with 55 hits and 35 RBI. He totaled 14 games with multiple hits and eight-straight games with an RBI. He started his career in the navy and red with a 4-for-4 performance against Hillsdale Free Will Baptist, totaling three RBI. Rodriguez again totaled four hits against Newman adding three RBI and had a four-hit performance against College of the Ozarks. He transferred to the Hill from Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa, where he was a second-team all-region selection for the Mavericks playing under Head Coach Terry Ballard. Rodriguez tallied a .359 batting average in 53 appearances in 2014 scoring 39 runs while driving in 31 behind four home runs. The son of Aurelio Rodriguez and Maria Rodriguez, he said he chose RSU "to receive an education and play baseball."
