2016: Started 11 of his 21 appearances as a junior for the Hillcats…In his first season, Donoghue batted .273 with nine hits, two doubles and six RBI…Finished his first season on College Hill with an on-base percentage of .405 and a .333 slugging percentage.
 
Previous: Joined RSU from City College of San Francisco, where he was a two-year captain under the direction of Head Coach John Vanoncini… The San Diego, California native started every game at shortstop during his two seasons with the Rams… Finished 2015 posting a .240 batting average with three doubles and one triple, adding 10 stolen bases… Spent the 2013 campaign at San Francisco State where he redshirted.
 
Prep: Prepped at Canyon Crest Academy and hit .275 as a senior, while registering a 3-4 record and a 2.89 earned run average on the mound.
 
Personal: Son of Dan and Jill Donoghue...Chose RSU "to get a great education and play competitive baseball."
