About: Fusselman returns to the Hill for his senior season after leading the team in starts and innings pitched in 2015. The Melissa, Texas native made a team-high 13 starts, going 5-5 on the season in 80.2 innings pitched and 38 strikeouts. As a junior, he finished with a 3.57 earned run average, second-best on the team. Fusselman finished the season with three-straight wins over Heartland Conference opponents: Lubbock Christian, Newman, and Oklahoma Panhandle State. He posted a season-high six strikeouts in a shutout win over Newman, allowing only five hits. Fusselman joined RSU from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, where he spent two seasons playing for Head Coach Roger Ward. He helped the Golden Norsemen to a second-place finish at regionals in 2014 going 6-3 from the mound, posting a 3.61 earned run average. Fusselman struck out 35 batters in 55 innings as a sophomore after fanning 30 in 50 innings as a freshman. He was named second-team all-region in 2013 recording a 7-3 record pushing NEO A&M to third at regionals. Fusselman played for Head Coach Ken Goode in the Home School Athletic Association hitting .390 with 30 steals as a senior following a junior season where he went 11-2 from the hill with two saves winning the Homeschool World Series Association World Series. The son of Greg and Debbie Fusselman, he said he chose RSU because of the "coaches, field, and scholarship."
