Biography

About: Ramirez was named All-Sooner Athletic Conference second team and started in 58 of the Hillcats 60 contests. As the Hillcats everyday shortstop, he led the team in on base percentage (.511) and holds the single season record for walks with 41. He tallied eight home runs, 26 stolen bases and 13 doubles with a .383 batting average. He signed with Rogers State out of Western Oklahoma College. As a sophomore Ramirez hit .388 with 17 doubles, four triples, eight home runs, 61 RBI and 25 steals. He helped Western to its highest ranking of No. 1, a regional and district championship and a third place finish in the World Series. He said he chose RSU because, “I really like the environment and the coaching staff is pretty awesome.”
