About: Ambrose spent his freshman campaign at Northeast Texas Community College. He finished a stellar prep career in 2010 at Union High School. The Redskins earned a conference and state championship during his senior campaign. Union topped three-time defending champs Owasso, 10-9 in nine innings, to win the Class 6A state title. Ambrose clubbed two homers and finished the four state playoff games he played in with a .750 batting average. He ended the postseason with four homers, 11 RBIs, two doubles and 10 runs scored. He was named ESPN Rise- National Player of the Week, All-State, conference player of the year, all-conference, Union Player of the Year, and Tulsa Metro Player of the year. Off the baseball field, Ambrose enjoys hunting and fishing. He said he chose RSU because “It is close to home and a good baseball program.”
