Biography

About: Cochran is back on the Hill for his senior season following a 2014 campaign where he was one of two RSU players to start all 45 games, playing in center field. The Broken Arrow, Oklahoma native led the Hillcats with 29 runs scored, 14 stolen bases, and 22 walks while registering a .245 batting average. Cochran went a perfect 3-for-3 against Baker in the home opener tallying a season-high in hits. He had back-to-back, seven-game hit streaks between March 21-29 and April 4-12. While appearing in 54 games during the 2013 season, Cochran scored 32 runs and stole 13 bases for the Cats. In 2012, he played 36 games as a redshirt freshman tallying 11 runs and six stolen bases. Cochran transferred to RSU after playing football at Southwestern Oklahoma State in 2010. The Broken Arrow High School product, he played under Head Coach Shannon Dobson. As a senior at BA, he was team captain and named the team's Defensive Player of the Year, all-district, and all-conference. The son of Tim and Nancy Cochran, he said he chose RSU because of the "great baseball program, great people, and great coaches."
