About: Vanisi comes to the Hill for his senior season after spending the 2014 campaign at NCAA Division II Cal State L.A. and Head Coach Vince Beringhele. The San Mateo, California native started 28 games for the Golden Eagles posting a .273 batting average. Vanisi played his first two collegiate seasons at Canada College in Redwood City, California under Head Coach Tony Lucca. He was named a Northern California All-American in 2013 recording a .350 average at the plate in 35 games played blasting a team-leading nine home runs with 27 RBI earning Coast Conference Pacific First-Team All-Conference honors. Vanisi also was named first-team all-conference as a freshman landing on the all-league team following a career at Aragon High School. The son of Jenny Gudino and Danny Vanisi, he said he chose RSU because of "baseball."
