Biography

About: Heston is back on the Hill for his third season in the navy and red after taking a redshirt during the 2014 season. The Pryor, Oklahoma native appeared in 54 games during his sophomore campaign in 2013 posting a .939 fielding percentage and offensively crossed home plate 29 times. Heston played 31 games and made eight starts as a true freshman in 2012. He scored nine runs and tallied one double and one triple while compiling a perfect fielding percentage. He joined the Hillcats after a stellar prep career at Pryor High School where he was named Male Athlete of the Year and baseball team MVP as a senior. The Tiger baseball team won the Metro Lakes Conference championship in 2011 and reached the state semifinals. Heston was recognized by the Three Rivers Coaches Association and the Metro Lakes Conference as Player of the Year for his efforts as a senior. As a junior, he was named first-team all-conference and earned second-team honors as a freshman. Heston was a four-year letter winner in baseball and football at Pryor. The son of Daryl and Darla Heston, he said he chose RSU because of the "coaches and being close to home."
