About: Perez comes to the Hill for his senior season after spending the 2013-14 campaign at NCAA Division II Colorado Mesa under Head Coach Andy Shantz. The Chula Vista, Calif., native averaged 7.5 points and 2.4 rebounds seeing action in all 27 games for the Mavericks. He tallied a season-high 16 points in the season opener against Dixie State. Perez started his collegiate career playing two years at Arizona Western for Head Coach Charles Harral helping the Matadors to a conference championship as a freshman and a runner-up finish as a sophomore. He tallied 10 points and eight rebounds per game his sophomore season earning all-conference honorable mention honors while being named Player of the Week once. Perez was a two-time all-conference selection for Hilltop High School and named team MVP twice with the Lancers totaling 21 points, 10 rebounds, two blocks, and two assists during his senior year. He is the son of Maria Calderon and has a younger brother, Esteban.
