About: Knott is back on the Hill for his senior season after being one of two players to start all 45 games for RSU in 2014 primarily playing short stop and some third base. The Locust Grove, Oklahoma native posted a .274 batting average ranking second on the team with 26 runs scored while hitting seven doubles and 12 RBI. He posted a team-high, eight-game hit streak from April 1-12 tallying five, multi-hit games during the stretch. Knott came to the Hill after two seasons at Northern Oklahoma College-Enid playing for Head Coach Raydon Leaton. He was named to the all-conference team as a sophomore in 2013 posting a .387 batting average with 18 doubles, one triple, and three home runs. Knott also was named to the all-tournament team at the conference tournament. He hit for a .357 average during his freshman campaign for the Jets recording 16 extra-base hits, 28 RBI, and six stolen bases. Knott was an all-state basketball player and all-conference baseball performer at Locust Grove High School and hit for a .527 average his senior season. He helped the Wildcats to an Oklahoma 4A State Championship in 2011 as a senior. The son of Mark and Kelly Knott, he said he chose RSU because of the "baseball program."
