Biography

About: Rivera comes to RSU after spending two years at Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa. Playing under Head Coach Terry Ballard at NOC, he received the Rawlings Gold Glove Award® for the top defensive second baseman in NJCAA Division II. He was the first NOC baseball player to receive the award. Rivera only made four errors the entire season with a fielding percentage of .978. He had a .439 batting average on the year to finish 21st in the nation. Nicknamed “Bambi” Rivera said he chose RSU because “of the great coaching staff and the progression of the program.”
